Foundlings is a short film (approximately 20–25 minutes) inspired by the real-life experiences of one of its writers, Simon.
Character Bios:
Sarah
Description: White female, early to mid-30s
Background:
Sarah is Paul’s younger sister. Like him, she was abandoned by their mother at a young age and spent a short time in foster care with him. However, Margaret eventually took Sarah back, leaving Paul behind.
When the film begins, Sarah is in rehab, where she and Paul meet again after many years. She has faced significant struggles in her life, largely stemming from her traumatic past. The reunion with Paul, combined with their mother’s unexpected arrival, forces Sarah to confront long-buried emotions and memories.
Location and Date:
The film is tentatively scheduled to shoot in Cambridge in March 2025 over four days (two consecutive weekends) at a single location.
Final shooting dates will be confirmed in January 2025.
Job Rate:
Unpaid, but we will cover all expenses, including food, travel, and potential accommodation.
