Project Title: 'Bound To The Pyre'
- An upcoming short film directed by Ruby van Laun and inspired by the events of the 1612 Pendle Witch Trials. This film follows Alizon Device, an unfortunate peasant girl, in her final hours of freedom before her inevitable capture and execution.
Production plans to enter the film into film festivals across the UK.
Production states: "This film is a zero-budget production; therefore, we are not expecting to make revenue from the project. Everyone involved with this production is so because it is our passion, this means that all roles undertaken in this production are unpaid (from runners to actors and even the director!). Any revenue gained from this will be reinvested into future projects with So Fine Productions. Our production company is brand new, previously producing the short film ‘A Girl’s Things’, an award-winning short from May 2024."

About the Character:
Anne is the delicate-hearted partner of Alizon Device, who she must love in secret. Her relationship with Alizon is placed in jeopardy when her lover is accused of being a witch. Anne discovers Alizon in their secret meeting place, a derelict barn, where they share their last moments together. Anne fears for Alizon’s life and must say goodbye to her when she chooses to flee.
