About the Project /Job:
Oldham Theatre Workshop in partnership with Little Fish Theatre & Phosphoros Theatre Company are casting for their touring production.
Project Title: 'Credible Witness'
Character Name: Bilal
About the Character:
A 15-year-old Somali boy living in Oldham. Bilal is learning English as a second language. He's thoughtful and determined. He is living with trauma as a result of his displacement to the UK.
Qualifications:
- South Asian | Male | Playing Age 18 - 25
- Northern (Oldham) & South London Accent.
- A versatile performer who is able to demonstrate multiple physicalities and vocal dialects (including south London) across gender, class, and ethnicity.
- Must be able to perform naturalistic characters and work non-naturistically in a stylized ensemble. The role requires a committed actor who is a quick learner and a team player with lots of energy.
Location & Date:
London and Oldham Actors must be based in Oldham or Greater Manchester
Production Dates: 19th September - 16th October 2024
Job Rate:
£2,600 (+ £260 Food & Drink - Subsistence)
Travel & Accommodation whilst in London will be organized by the production team.
