Job: Manchester. {£12.5/hr} Casting Call: Seeking Male Actor for 'Dan' in Short Film
About the Project /Job:
Directing a short film and in need of two actors.
- The short film follows two young men as they navigate the gritty streets of Manchester, reflecting on morality and accountability, finding themselves caught in a spiral of deception and self-realization. We follow the two characters into an unassuming corner shop, where one of them goes up to the cashier to seemingly buy something from behind the till, while the other is walking down the different aisles looking around. Their intentions are slowly made clear - the character talking to the cashier was only doing this as a distraction so that the other character could steal without being caught. The cashier eventually realizes, and angrily chases them down. The characters have ultimately reverted to their original moral values, struggling to break free from the cycle of wrongdoing despite their moments of insight.
Role: Dan
About the Character:
- A twenty-something year old with a Mancunian/ Northern accent. Dan is introspective yet impulsive, often interrupting others and sharing elaborate stories. Mostly philosophical, though somewhat crude in their language.
Additional Information:
- Due to the nature of the script, actors should be comfortable with strong language.

Date: TBD, nighttime shoots on weekdays and weekends throughout November
Job Rate:
