About the Project /Job:
Project Title: 'For the People'
Project length: Short Film (10-12 minutes)
Synopsis: A dystopian coming-of-age short concept film set in a fallen capitalist society. During this collapse, the poor revolt and hunt the rich. A raw and emotive exploration into themes of anarchy, humanity, poverty and the fragility of love.
Role: Sophia / Female / AGE 50-60
About the Character:
- Sophia is a gentle woman but afraid of the outside world. She was kept safe most her life but worked hard to get to a position of financial comfortability. She has good morals at heart but isn’t active about them and doesn’t go out of her way to help others. She is very protective of Nadia but can be restricting of her freedom. She becomes ill in the later part of her life and can’t monitor her daughter as much. She tries to comfort Nadia but knows that Nadia wants more than what she can provide her and feels guilty about needing her by her side.
