I’m a screenwriter based in Los Angeles. I’m casting English and Scottish VO actors for a recording of an audio drama adaptation of my half-hour comedy pilot BODICE RIPPERS.

Project Title: ‘Bodice Rippers’

Logline:

When Mia, an unnoticed romance fanfiction writer, helps a closeted princess run from her wedding, she collides with the celebrity of her secret fantasies in the Scottish Highlands. She no longer only writes about her desires but starts to live them out, finding her power along the way.

Princess Alice

About the Character:

(Age 35, English, white): Heir to the British throne who fled her royal wedding in front of the world to find the woman she secretly loves. Effervescent, underestimated. Think Aimee Lou Wood. Co-Lead.

Requirements:

Actors will need to have the following on hand:           

-A quiet space to record

-Hard-wired Internet/Stable WIFI in recording space

-Google Chrome

-Wired headphones/Wired earbuds

-External microphone (not built into your computer)

-Zoom App

-GarageBand or PC equivalent

-Dropbox or equivalent

Location and Date:

United Kingdom

We’d like to record in February remotely. The director and I are in the Pacific Standard time zone in the US.

Job Rate:

Paid- This is a deferred payment contract and a SAG Micro-Monetized Podcast signatory production.

Actors will be compensated if this recording leads to a sale to a screen or audio buyer.

The recording will be primarily used as a proof-of-concept sales tool, but it could be uploaded to podcast streaming services.
